Should I stay in this job ? ✶ Could I finally write that book ? ✶ Can I make my life more beautiful ? ✶

All our lives, we’re surrounded by messages about what we “should” do.

Coaching gives you the time, space, and tools to find your truest, most beautiful life; one that might not look or feel like anyone else’s but that brings you deeper joy, peace, and self-confidence.

Schedule a free consultation to see if Happybara Coaching is a good fit for you.

  • Coaching can help you make life decisions that truly match what feels right for YOU. Not what your best friend thinks you should do. Not what your grandma would have wanted.

It can help you notice what thoughts are holding you back, examine them from a different perspective, and then decide how much space they deserve in your life.

Coaching provides a safe, nonjudgmental, uninterrupted space to talk through your hopes, dreams, and plans

  • Each session is an hour long and takes place via phone, FaceTime, or Zoom. We’ll start by exploring your area of least satisfaction, identify what changes you’d like to see, and then we’ll use questions, tools, and exercises to meet your goals. Maybe you want to become more organized. Maybe you’re trying to decide if you should get a dog. Maybe you’re ready to make the move into an entirely different career. And maybe you don’t even know what you want…but you know where you are right now ain’t it. We’ll work together to figure out what could be better and how you can get there.

  • It depends! Some folks just need a one-session tune-up. Others are looking for a weekly check-in over several months. We can figure out a good place to start during your free pre-coaching consultation.

  • The name Happybara is a nod to my favorite animal, the capybara. They're calm, confident, and centered and embody the vibe I try to bring to every coaching session. They also have a subversive streak and have been known to band together to resist authority. Truly my chill, values-driven rodent heroes.

Meet Coach

Mandy

Hello! I’m Mandy Phillips. I live in Omaha, Nebraska but have coached folks as far away as Germany on topics as varied as parenting, career, structuring a satisfying week, relationships, and communication.

I have a Masters degree in Education, have taught English to Speakers of Other Languages to every age from Kindergarteners through adults for two decades, and have seven years of nonprofit management experience. I am a Martha Beck Certified Wayfinder Coach, and I am registered to facilitate Circle of Security Parenting and Nurturing Parenting groups.

I live with my spouse, teen daughter, goofy dog, and naughty cat. I love karaoke, hiking, travel, thrifting, writing, and CrossFit, and I’m fluent in Spanish. I aim to fill my days doing only the things I love most.

Coaching for Parents

At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Learning Objectives of the Program

  • Understand your child’s emotional world by reading their emotional needs

  • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

  • Enhance the development of your child's self esteem

  • Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Mandy is a registered Circle of Security Parenting facilitator and provides 8-week sessions (1.5 hours/week) to a minimum of 8 participants. If you would be interested in joining the next cohort, please fill out the form and recruit friends! It will help the class fill up more quickly!
